How do I tell that my poults are eating?

Hi everyone! I’ve raised a lot of chicks. And I’ve always been able to tell that they are eating by checking their crops. Nice and full. What about poults? Do they ever fill their crops to capacity? I am new raising turkeys. Been reading a lot and made mistakes. Hopefully I got the hang of it but still can’t tell whether they’ve eaten or not. Thank you.

I know that my poults are eating by actually watching them eat and by noticing the amount of feed in their feeder. I have rarely noticed the crops being overly full on a poult like it can be on a chick.

My poults have constant access to feed so their is no reason for them to stuff themselves.

I thought so. I also have a constant supply of water and feed in their brooder. So that must it, why their crop is not full. Like the chicks do. I wanted to make sure since it’s my first time. Thank you.
