How do I tell what gender my ducks are?

Sorry, we just confirmed it's 5 months, not 3.

And I'm not too sure. We got them from a lady that was selling them together, and we bought both of them. They have grown up together, also.

Then I'd say for sure drakes. they are handsome boys, are you going to add some girls into the mix?

Well, the ducks were basically just a thing we wanted to try out. We might add one in, but I think it's a little too late to do so.

Is a girl duck necessary?

Depending on the season and type of duck, if they are drakes they will grow a 'curl' on their tail feathers. Girl ducks have a loud quack, whereas boys tend to make quieter 'chattering' sounds... it's what ours do, anyway!

A female duck isn't necessary. It would be better to have no females than too few. With too few, the males will overbreed the females and fight eachother over them. You would either have to add at least 4 females to the mix (probably more) or get rid of one male and add a couple of females.
