how do i train my dog how to keep chickens away from the house?

Oh hey, I have a suggestion. How about you feed TJ inside, or feed him at particular times and then pick his food up when he is done? Like, give him say, ten minutes to eat twice a day while you sit there with him and then put the food away. He will quickly learn to eat at those times, I would say it will take him about three or four days to get used to the new schedule. If there is no food on the porch (or breezeway) for the chickens, they should stop coming around.

this was him when we got him View attachment 2047276 he is bigger now. just to note: most English shepherds don't have much white on their coats... TJ is a exception. although he is not fat, he is also much larger than most of his breed. he weighs about 80 pounds but the average breed weight is around 60.
