How do I treat a swollen foot that was tangled in a vine?

Yesterday evening, I found my little polish rooster sitting under a bush. It was about 30 minutes after I had last seen him. As I tried to coax him out I realized one of his legs was pulled straight up behind him tangled tightly in a dead vine. I guess he was roosting in the large bush and as he hopped down one foot stayed trapped behind.

I removed all the vine but it was very tight. I was concerned that he’d lost some circulation as the foot was very cold and he couldn’t put weight on it. I put him in an enclosure with the gentle silkie and baby frizzle for the night.

This morning he has a fluid pocket or two and
is hopping on one foot and putting weight on one or two toes.

I haven’t wrapped it to anything. Wasn’t sure what to do. All advice appreciated.

Judging by the color of the foot, I think there is still blood circulation. I believe he will recover. I would keep him with the mild mannered birds until he is completely mobile. Good luck.
