How do I treat eye infection

Initially my serama roosters eye just looked little irritated but then he started having some respiratory issues too and the eye worsened. He had a rattling sound when he would breathed. I started him on some oxytetractcline soluble powder mixing it in his water. That seemed to help the respiratory issues but his eye is still infected. It does look a little better and he is acting fine and seems healthy otherwise. Is there anything else I can do?

I would rinse the eye with water then apply Terramycin Eye ointment.Keeping him calm and hydrated will help too.
