How do I wash/clean/disinfect the eggs before I put them in the fridge

I always as least rinse my eggs before putting them in the refrigerator. Sometimes I spray them with "Fruit & Vegetable Wash" and then rinse them. Isn't the reason to not wash your eggs is so they stay fresh on the counter? If so, I would think, as long as an egg is refrigerated after washing it should be fine. The reason I wash my eggs, is so I'm not putting unknown bacteria next to a piece of coconut cream pie I saved to finish a little later! Boy. that made me hungry!
