Okay, some of you may know that I have a VERY broody hen. I don't have a separate pen for her right now. I caught her switching nestboxes with other eggs, so I quickley discovered exactly why it is imperative to get a separate spot for a broody hen that wants to be a mama. Okay, I have been taking the eggs away everyday. It's like a race out there to get the eggs before she sits on them. I calmly move her fluffy bum out of the nest and take them without incident.
BUT she is sitting on everything that the other ones lay. How do I break her of this? Do I just need to give her an egg to sit on?
