In my world everyone has a 'knick knack' name as my daughter used to call it. My children: Onion and Weasel/Pumpkin/Pickle. My wife: Princess/Baby Jane/'Laine. Friends and associates: Oz/Wizard, Birdwood, Uncle Dudley, Luther, Snap, Skip, Jonesy, Jaybird, Hammer, Fearless, Junior, Wolfman, Smokey, and my blood brother (Yes for real) Whackier Than Me.

My husband's twin sisters were both Candy Stripers in high school, were sure that nursing was what they wanted to do. A bad review from a supervisor derailed one sister's plans; she redirected into Psychology, and wound up working for the state in a program counselling with drug addicts and alcoholics. She recently got the opportunity to "buy" early retirement, which she did. She has gone back to school - in the nursing program! I hear she's doing quite well, as well.

I am a full time student, but I feel as if I also hold down a job. So much to do with all the critters we own, have adopted, or have adopted us. Our house should be know as the Island of Misfits, many hi-needs critters, the worst of which I think is my dog Emmit ..... very emotionally needy

...... very.

And thank you bunnylady, That is ironic about your sis-in-law. If she was good at Psych, she will be fine in the Nursing program. I found Psych to be interesting, but also quite hard.

Saw an immature bald eagle today. It was feeding on a road killed deer. Earlier in the day a flock of vultures were at the carcass, but the eagle must have forced them away. The area that I live in has a very high deer population, and as a result there are a lot of road killed deer. Last winter a mature bald eagle stayed around most of the winter moving from one carcass to the next. Just sharing.

Post # 190 - guess we shut this down after ten more. 200 is what you wanted, right, bob a lot?
