I'm 42, currently in college, just finishing my first year of a Nursing AAS degree, plus the year and a half of prerequisites. Funny the people that wind up on chicken sites, hey?

I doubt my Grandfather could find Explorer on a computer, though he would be on a site such as this if he could.

Trust me there is hope for yor grandfather. (I'm assuming that he is still alive.) If you had told me even 5 years ago that I would be on line, this would have been my reaction -

. I consider myself to be computer 'semi literate'. I am self taught, wife taught or grand children taught. I now get most of my news from here visit several beagle and pigeon sites and spend entirely too much time on BYC. Get your granddfather hooked.

Congratulations on continuing your education and understand that yes ineed I am old enough to be your father. I have two children that are older than you.

Older people on computers I'm sorta getting used to. Older people texting still sorta shocks me. Whenever Terry sends me a text I am always still shocked.

My parents - my father, anyway - will more likely send me an email than call on the phone. I couldn't imagine getting a text message from them, though. I know a few folks my age that are more likely to text than call. At one point, Hubby had a contract that had him in an area of very poor cellphone reception for the better part of a day. We learned that you could get a text through there, but not a call - go figure!
