Ever heard of a plant called "Spanish Bayonet"? It's a variety of yucca. I saw one catch a volleyball once - and it didn't want to give it back. Game over!

No, the giant mutant Venus Flytrap swallows things whole. The Spanish Bayonet just skewers them.

I saw a giant mutant Venus Flytrap swallow a whole cat one time. Honestly! Trust me! It was just like a scene from "Little Shop of Horrors."

First of all, Sour, what were you doing out there near my rabbitry - that's where the giant flytraps are. And second, we never, ever feed cats to them. That was a possum - or a rat, around here, it's hard to tell the difference.

Nope, not in NC, but right here in NJ. The Great Swamp has a variety of rapid growing, nitrogen seeking, fly traps that are purported to even swallow small deer upon occasion. One must be very careful to not leave the pathways when exploring the Great Swamp.

Never seen a plant quite that voracious, but the local mosquitoes are rumored to carry off the odd cow.

We have the Jersey Devil a denizen of the Pine Barrens which has also been known to Carry off cows, goats, sheep, small children, chicken fanciers-------------------
