I left yesterdays eggs in the coop yesterday ( still trying to bribe some one to go broody)

There was 1-2 eggs in 4 nest. Today when I get home i notice all the eggs have been moved to one nest?

How do they do that? They have to go over a lip about 2 inches tall, cross a perch/ roost and into the next nest box?

Sounds like a complicated move! LOL I have seen my girls drag eggs out of one nest box over to the other, however they have never gotten them in the other box. For awhile there, I was finding eggs all over the floor. Thankfully they got over that!

I read in another thread (sorry don't remember which one) where someone's hen moved all her eggs to another nest. She put the egg under her chin as she moved it. There was even a picture. Maybe someone remembers that thread and can post the link.

Chickens never cease to amaze me!

Yes they are amazing.... If all the eggs were collected in one box, maybe someone Does want to go broody! I think that they have a combination of methods to move eggs--- one is roll, one is (I think) wrap their beak, head and neck around and move it....
