how do u keep chicks in bator longer then 2 days dont they need food

I put in the vent plugs (usually by now I've taken them out because the humidity spikes while chicks are hatching), let the humidity go up a few % above what I normally keep it, wait until they get near the edge, slide the top a little, and scoop them out. If your fast enough not much humidity should be lost and sliding the top over works better than lifting it and opening all the edges up. Last hatch I did in the winter when it was hard to keep humidity up anyway so every time I slipped some chicks out I stuffed in a warm wet paper towel. It helped boost the humidity but make sure it's warm not cold or you'll impact the temp. I would avoid having water or wet paper towels touch the eggs directly. If too much moisture goes through the shells you'll drown the chicks.

ok thanks i will do that next time but i dont think i will ever do this many chicks for th next few hatches i need to learn to be perfect before i do
