How do you add more hens to your flock?

I have flock of 4 BR hens & 1 BO roo, My grandfather is giving me 2 of his BO hens & they are about 2 yrs old and mine are only 6 months old, how do I troduce them right now there in a spare coop, Im wanting to add 2 BO's to the mix!! Please help, I dnt want fight either, Thanks

Your pullets are young enough that you should be able to add 2 older hens that will quickly be top chicks without much chasing and pecking. If you're comfortable with the health of the new hens, I'd just go for it. Either add them when they are out free ranging or at night once the rest have gone to bed. My 6 month old pullets of various breeds are very meek around the "older" 9 month old ones. They squabble with each other but if an older one gives them the eye, they scurry off.
