Hi Guys.
My mom in law told me about a house by her Post ( she is a crossing guard) & there are some chickens 3 hens & a rooster, the people just up & Moved, left them there, My sister is a police officer & called the local shelter & the guy laughed on the phone & said, Sorry we don't do Chickens, we have no where to put them....
My sister is looking into seeing who owns the house but I got a feeling the chickens were abandoned. SO with that, How would I catch them? The Roo is a little Nasty, & I can't take a Roo, Im not allowed to have them. The Hens are silkies I think from moms disciption? They cross a road over by a school all the time, My sister had a half eaten bagel & chucked it to them from her patrol car...I dont even have a set up for them...there filthy I was told too, we just had a ton of rain. thanks everyone.

We either catch our chickens by hand, when they are roosting in the evenings or use a pool net from Lowe's, to catch them during the day.

Hope this is some help...

Thanks Dawn. First we have to make sure that no one is living in the house, I figured a net, The area is not the greatest you know what I mean....Hopefully my sister can find out more info before I try. Im gunna have to keep these girls locked up for awhile, I hope I can tame them?

You are so welcome!!! Good luck and let us know how it goes. Sounds like they'll appreciate some attention!
