How do you clean your dishwahser???

I was raised on handwashing aswell, and I HATED IT! DH doesn't like doing dishes either, so for the first 1.5 of our marriage, dishes were the last thing on our list. That didn't look very nice. With DD on the way, I told him a dishwasher was a must. He agreed! It saved our lives

I just tried the Borax and it seemed to do a great job! I'd like to try the lemon juice, but Borax is what I had on hand.

(and I agree about the sponges...my stepmom seems to NEVER throw hers out...YUK!

I use the Borax too...

As far as sponges, we always had a dish brush growing up and I can never be without one.. sponges are only good in the incubator to help up the humidity around here

You can disinfect a sponge
by putting it in the microwave for a minute... I just throw my dishbrush in the dishwasher when I run a load.. keeps it nice and clean.



I washed by hand for years... I'll never be without a dishwasher again either. I wash some of my pots and pans by hand but that's it.

I use dish rags that go in the washer and for the rest of the house terry cleaning clothes. I don't do the disposable thing!

I love handiwipes because they scrubs well too for crusted on gunk on the counter and stove top. Even wash rags - one use only. I am weird.

Yes - especially the prim looking one that has to smell everything, no matter how nasty it is. She cracks me up.

yup! and they tell those people off!

there has been some very nasty houses on that show! with bugs all in their sink...living on all the dirty dishes...pet poop just left for months in piles...UGH!

I use some vinegar and about a cup of baking soda.
It takes care of the smells for sure.
