How do you Clean your Sand Run?

I'm wondering about the outside one--do they perch there during the day?

I have a covered run that is 16 x 8 and each day I go in with a small bucket and kitty scooper and lift out the poop. Works great. Takes about 2-4 minutes and then I add the poop to our composter. It really works great and has stayed pretty smell free with 22 chicks in it. It has only been a month since they have been out there but its working out great so far.
