How do you clip a chicken's wings?

We have a rooster, and I think he found out that he has wings. he keeps on flying over the pen (we have to keep him in it because William is scared of him). How do you clip wings? Is it better to just clip one wing, or both?

you will need a pair of sharp Shears.

Scissors. And clip just the feathers on one wing or he will still be able to fly. I have a bantam that can still fly with clipped wing but she is no bigger than a pigeon. My big birds can't fly with feathers clipped on one wing.

You can use wire cutters if you do not have strong shears. Those feathers can be real tough to cut through.
