How do you create lemon blue with banty cochins?

I have some banty cochins, and have 2 buff girls and a buff roo. I also have a blue rooster.
Could I put my two buff girls together with the blue and get lemon blue babies?
If so, How do I go about picking the best colored chicks from them?

I just realized this has been discussed before, so I don't know if anyone will answer this.

I checked it out some, and it seems blue and buff can't make a "true" lemon blue. In that case, what color types do I need to get lemon blues?

They already have lemon blue bantam cochins.
Or do you just want to make your own.

As you read, Blue X Buff wouldn't work. The birchen gene is needed. While it's possible the blue might carry birchen,it couldn't be counted upon.
Probably the easiest way to get to lemon blue would be a gold birchen & a blue, crossing blue offspring back to gold birchen.

Cross brown red to a blue or splash to get some lemon blues.
