Ya i hear you there. I raised my layer chicks and meaties together and lost a layer. I think one of the meat birds jumped on her head or somthing. It was nice to just have my 11 hens and 2 roosters. We put 30 meat birds in the freezer last fall. Only got one left and one on the counter for tonights dinner.
