How do you feed your Rooster(s)?

Pics
I also have 7 pullets and a cockerel and right now we are still feeding them grower feed. When they are more mature and developed we will start feeding them FlockRaiser by BlueSeal and we will provide the hens with a separate dish of oyster shells
I see lots of people offering separate oyster shell instead of layer feed. What’s to stop a rooster or pre layer from eating out of the oyster dish? Chickens peck at everything.

If you wanted to give kalmbach a try chewy.com carries their whole line even their all flock formula thats the one I get because the roos eat tons of their layer too.
I didn't have that problem before when I bought manapro roosters left it for the girls.
Oh and chewy is low and free shipping even on 50lbs of food.:)
Sounds like im pushing chicken valium "kalmbach" lol!
Shipping is free because the price of the food is so inflated. “Low” price is a matter of opinion I suppose. $25 for 50lbs. of feed is outrageous in my opinion. It’s definitely not cost effective for a larger flock.

The roosters and chicks try a little bit of oyster shell, then decide it just doesn't taste good. So they do not eat enough to cause any problems.

It isn't bad for me, not a ton of birds to feed and it keeps me off the road and out of the feed store.
There is just something about the Fedex driver cussing my packages and the horse they rode in on that nulls any extra costs nicely.;)

I have to drive about an hour each way to find the feed they like and They sometimes don’t even have it. For some reason TSC is not carrying purina flock raiser in pellets in the store I usually get it. I’m willing to try something that I hope they’ll like. If my flock is happy I’m happy I don’t care how much money I spend on them. Purina is $19.99 50# a $4 difference is not going to break the budget

Opposite problem here nothing but pellets out the wazoo.
Crumbles, lol no those went extinct years ago right alongside decent chick starter and flock blocks.
Want to see a look of pure "what are you smoking lady?" ask for a flock block down here. :D
Our local feed stores also have never carried Flock Raiser in pelleted form, only crumble. When I don't have chicks pelleted feed would be nice.
