How do you fill waterers in winter?

I used to haul waterers over 110 ft. in winter, on ice or in the snow. years ago we installed another frost free hydrant next to the coop, and it's wonderful!
My waterers are on heated bases, so I don't have to be out there before dawn to give them unfrozen water.
What works for four chickens will be a real struggle for forty!
My coop isn't pretty, but it's functional, and I've spent $$$ where it works best for me and my flock.

Hoses must be drained in winter, and a short hose is much easier to manage. The coiled ones are small in diameter, and would be miserable for my 150 gallon stock tank, so I've never tried one. If it would be long enough, and taken indoors after every use , it might be a good buy. Mary
