How do you gather your eggs?

I use a small tin can, to collect them in the evenings. I have 19 hens and got my first 14 eggs, yesterday and it almost filled the can. Then I bring them into the house and transfer them into a basket similar to the one 'Happy Hen Lover' shows in her pic, but I do need something better to collect them in because the tin can has no handle. I don't like using egg cartons because of the dirty eggs, due to the ground being wet. Egg cartons are hard enough to come by.

I designed and made egg collecting aprons. It holds 6 eggs. Here is a picture before I finished it.

I love the print of the roosters. I thought I would make them to sell but I am not much of a salesperson. So far, I have just given them away.

That is PERFECT and soooo cute! Love it!

My Mom gave me an adorable basket today. So I now have two baskets. I probably still won’t remember one but it will sure be sure on my counter!

They're not my first eggs, Blackacres, they're my first 14 eggs in one day, Lol. I usually just get anywhere from 7 to 10 eggs, a day but thanks anyway!

I use an egg carton once filled then I bring it in

What an excellent idea I might just do that myself

I use an old metal teapot. Handy handle and flashlight attachment for nighttime egg gathering after work. Tapered sides help to keep eggs from falling out. I have a flock of 5, so average 2-3 eggs daily so far. 5 will fit if my hens become daily layers in the Spring

I put them in my pocket which sometimes ends badly if I run into or brush against something too roughly and I frequently find eggs in my coat pockets when I’m out in public in winter timetoo funny
