How do you indroduce chicks to older chickens?

    Hi everyone, we have 11 baby chicks and 4 older chickens. How and when do you indroduce them to eack other? The older chickens are mean to the little chicks, so we have to seperate them.

    They need to be kept seperate until the chicks are almost the same size as the adults, otherwise they may be killed by the adults.

    I wait until the youngsters are about ready to start laying. Once they start laying the rooster will accept them into the flock-if you have one that is. [​IMG]

    A good way to do introductions is to have them fenced seperately but next to each other so they can interact without hurting each other.
