how do you introduce a duckling to a 4 week old duck?

They are only out there in the daytime when your home? I don't think that lil thing would keep out a predator if it wanted in bad enough.
yes definitely only when I'm home even when they're bigger it'll probably be the same we're still working on the coop but I would like to let them free range as much as possible. I take them in when I take a shower too haha this is just getting them use to being outside which they really do seem to enjoy more and more. They especially are starting to like this spot because they can see me through both the kitchen and living room window and front screen door. Also as for hawks and things like that we have 3 big trees blocking overhead, I've never seen those birds out here in this neighborhood but still

here's a little update, we've been getting them use to being outdoors during the day. The weather here is a good 85 degrees so that helps a lot. The front porch is shady though they can come and go from their dog house I keep the door open to the house screen door closed though so I always have my ears and eyes on them they cried a little the first day but quickly adapted and love the fresh air. They never swim unattended though still as Gunter is way to small but they now sleep together swim together forage together and poop together. Its quite beautiful. And they still love to be around my family and me and have tummy scratches and cuddle time the picture of the dog and ducks in their house is my dog saumbu guarding them he loves them and always makes sure nothing goes near them even chases away the bluebirds I know this post is about ducks bonding but my dogs have also gone through a transition and they too have become family to the ducks
Awesome. I am really enjoying your regular updates and pics of your cuties. Bless Saumbu for guarding them.

As long as they can see their mama they are okay. Never under estimate a predator.
