how do you introduce a duckling to a 4 week old duck?

You're welcome. I am glad you were there to wave the hawk off. I hate that those birds are around the ducks. I am in awe of and think raptors are neat but hate the idea they predate on other birds. Enough of that.

I know what you mean about obsessed with ducks. As you know I am too. I work full time during the day and so many times use my smart phone to go on BYC to see the pics and posts people have put up. And for the fun social benefits as well with folks like you. On days I am too busy and can't get on I get antsy. To be honest, this is my only social media. I am not on FB anymore nor twitter, instagram, etc. I am ok with it entirely because BYC keeps me plenty busy and at least people on here all understand and live for these birds.

My boyfriend has a theory that a hawk, eagle, etc won't swoop down if I'm within 5 feet or so of the babies. Do you think he's right?

Today will be a whole week that they've been spending day time outdoors, they seem to really like it now and even beg to go.out in the mornings. Gunter may have imprinted on marceline more than she has with us but she is better at coming when called. Marceline seems to be the stubborn one but she still loves to come around us as she wants to. Both love to be cuddled and petted. Here's this morning's shot of them in there portable house outside

sounds logical, I wouldn't want to meet a hawk brave enough to come near an animal larger like us ! They don't mess with scarecrows so Yeah I think that's pretty solid information
