how do you introduce a duckling to a 4 week old duck?

Always miss Lydia ;) Julie bird that is funny, maybe it's a bird thing they probably have a cruel sense of humor haha. Simbas fine I caught him laying with them, well near them, a few more times today. We are having the ducks sleep outside tonight, ugh I am not going to be able to sleep at all :(, I've checked on them for the 20th time already and both dogs are laying in front of the duck house and every little noise they are up patrolling I feel bad maybe they are not going to be able to sleep tonight either.

I know. It is. I just don't get why a smaller creature with no actual defenses does it. Even the call ducks do it. Amykins' Wobbles has done the head down, charging and hissing thing towards her cat. She says he weighs 1.25 lbs and the cat is something like around 13 lbs if I remember.

You're sweet for checking on your ducks during the night while they sleep outdoors in their house. I love that the dogs are laying in front of it. Seems Simba has forgotten all about Marceline's attack or he's forgiven her for it. I hope she doesn't do it again for both their safety. I know you are a vigilant duck mom.

I lost the ducks today

I was gone for five minutes and when I left they were on the porch. We had a rainy summer day here, so wonderful, and I found them on the side of the house playing in a long mud puddle! It was adorable

@Amiga haha sorry I guess I did build up a little suspense, so sorry :) I was quite scared too. My husband calls me the crazy duck lady haha, about 50% of my conversation starters are so guess what the ducks did today

I am right in that club of crazy duck people with you, @marcelineduckie , I hope I did not make you feel very bad. But, I really, got that hot twist in my gut when I read those words on the preview…A few times I have had ducks duck out on me - - - oh, mercy, what runs through my mind in those moments.

I am constantly counting little duckie heads.

Do you have any idea how cute they are? And the slurping noises you can hear along with the music makes this vid a prize.

SO glad they were ok. I got scared too. I would never get tired of someone saying, "guess what the ducks did today."

Amiga I feel you I am always either outside with them or watching through the window, but sometimes I have to pee :( haha Julie next time that is definitely what I'll start with I promise haha. They never leave the front yard without me our backyard is very big and overrun with dry fox or cat tail or whatever those darn buggers are that get caught in my shoes and clothes, but yeah I've just never had them be out of eye range spooked me a bit I forgot there are little preview texts. I love the slurping noises and the little grunts haha!
