How do you keep the chicks pine shavings inside the crate??

For those of you who keep their baby chicks in a dog crate, I am wondering what other people do to keep them inside?

Any time I put shavings in, they "scratch" at them, and they go flying out the sides.

Any tips on how to keep them in??

I was thinking of ordering a deeper bottom for the dog crate, just like the ones for the guninea pig cages, but I cannot find one for dog crates online.

Any thoughts?
