How do you keep the dang water from spilling everywhere???!!!???!!!

I actually have the waterer on bricks in my larger brooder pen that is in my barn. That seems to work pretty good out there. But the smaller brooder box in the house that's for the babies is too small to put bricks in. Now, the waterer is sitting on a saucer to help keep it level and above the pine shavings.

I was wondering how one of those water bottles would work. I thought about trying one, but didn't want to waste my money if it wouldn't work. That's good to know. I may visit Wally World and pick one up just to try.

And, if the mason jar alone doesn't work, then adding rocks will be my next option!!
