I had my first hatchling and he's doing a great job, others started poking holes from inside. This one has been like this for hours. Is it normal? I totally missed the first one being born.
How long does it take after they poke the first little hole?
I'm not good at the terminology of pipping and zipping and inner etc. Tia

It is normal that it takes a few hours, I have had one not make any progress for 8 hours, but it made it out fine

OK, so I moved the gunk, sorry I couldn't help myself I was worried. I heard peeping and I see movement. 3 hatches and no progress on this on, should it be facing a certain way?
Sorry, I am probably late, but has the membrane dried out? If it did, I would apply some water on the membrane. Did you hear from the egg, and was the movement from the egg as well?

This article will be so helpful if you have any left to hatch. I'm not sure how far along things are but I strongly suggest that you read over this and then read it again. I've read it at least 20 times and still keep it handy when hatch time is near. I wish you the best with your hatching.
