How do you know your DH loves you?!?!

When I was several months pregnant my husband my husband drove with me 7 hours (each way) to pick up 3--yep, just 3--Cuckoo Marans. And didn't complain.

He just bought me a new incubator (should be here in the next day or so!!) and is researching and talking about buying a Sportsman sometime in the future.

And he says he doesn't like chickens! Well, maybe it's just that he likes me.

Mine wrote me an e-mail on Valentine's Day telling me why I was his best friend!!!

I thought that was very sweet.

He also let me purchase a tuff shed off Craigslist to make into my coop......I love him for that!!!

When i say "let" i don't mean he's controlling with the finances or anything like that. We discuss the budget together and come to an agreement.......I thought for sure he wouldn't see it fitting into the budget. Just wanted to clarify that statement.

I know my husband loves me by the little things. I have a defrosted and warmed car every morning. If I complain I have heartburn he gets the Tums before I can even get up. He kisses me good bye every day before leaving for work. And he said I could have more chickens!

When he offers to add onto our barn for the chickens, without me even asking!!! WOO HOOO!!! Oh, and did I mention he doesn't really like the animals, especially any type of bird. He was "attacked" by bats as a kid, swooped down and got in his hair, totally freaked him out. So this is a big step for him.

I am also married to a wonderful man. He never had animals as a kid (city boy). We know have 2 sheep, 2 goats , 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 25 chickens. He has been working on the plans for my new hen house. He has driven me all over to get chickens, goats and what ever else I want. He cooks and cleans and is the most wonderful father to my sons. He is also very handsome, and funny. I am truly blesses to have such a wonderful husband.
