how do you prevent predators digging into the coop/run from below?

i'm building a coop. planning to use chain link or chicken wire on the ground as well. will this work and/or is there a better way?

Yes it works well. If you want to move your coupe and run now and then it is particularly convenient if the wire is on panels. Just move the panels to the new site, place the coupe and run attach to panels and your done. Does become cost prohibitive if you have a particularly large run. Then you would have to consider burying hardware cloth at least 1 foot down around the entire perimeter. Hard work but lasts a long time.
