How do you pronounce....

Austra-LORP, definitely. Those who pronounce it without the r, either have an accent that drops the r, or they're misreading it. Lots of people add an h (I don't know where they get it, but it's common) when they spell Orpington, so they write Orphington. 'Lorps have an r, Orps do not have an h.

And Wyandottes are definitely NOT Wine Dots, though some folks spell it that way.

So now I would like to know how everyone else around the country pronounces Wyandotte. Rarefeathers lives in the same West Coast state as I do, and over on the west side of the mountains where I am at, I keep hearing it pronounced Wine-dot.

Oh Rarefeathers lives on the East side of the Cascade mountain range. She has more sunshine than I do.

PS Austra-Lorp makes sense to me given the fact that it originates from the words Australian Orpington.

Rarefeathers: That is because I sent the rain that way, because I am very jealous that you have more sun, than I do most of the time.
