how do you raise chickens

Besides the normal things like food and water and shelter, you'll want to male sure you don't have more males than your gals are comfortable with, and make sure silkies dont get wet. They can't dry off as well because of their feathering so they get chilled faster when wet

You have come to the right place! I would advise you to go to “Articles” and begin with the sections under the headings “Learning Center” and “Chicken Coops”.
Under “Learning Center” you will find much information covering everything about acquiring chicks, what supplies, housing, and containment area you will need to start, as well as feed, water, supplements, heating, etc.
Everyone on this site is helpful and friendly, and you should be able to find the answers to just about any issue you can think of.
Welcome to BYC, glad you have joined us! :celebrate

About 28sq. Feet. 10 each fornthe run and 4 each for the coop.

How are you getting guaranteed females, and only 2 at that? Almost every hatchery sells straight run bantams, and usually have minimum orders of 25-30

Jacin Larkwel i'm only going to have them as pets so 25 chickens just seems like too many, and female is just what I'm hoping for because i don't want to have more chicks

Then you'll need to find someone local that has silkies. You don't have to keep the 25 minimum order, but most places won't send you less than that
