How do you repurpose household items for your chickens?

While getting my coop ready for winter, I’ve come up with what I think are some helpful ways to upcycle household items.

Did you know cool whip container lids fit the top of a hanging 7 pound feeder?

Or that you can turn those free water bottles into waterers for your brooder or sick crate? (I have horizontal nipples on order to replace the cup!)

Any other helpful hints out there?

we don't buy cool whip often but it would be worth it just to be able to use the lid for this purpose. I love the ideas!
