Just had chicken an dumplins today. Dumplins are flat squares. It absorbs the flavors of the soup better than the balls.

Ours are flat rectangles and we call it chicken pastry!

We add a can of cream of chicken soup to our chicken broth an chicken then that cooks a while an the dumplins go in last.... The cream of chicken soup makes a great dish even better. But I only eat the dumplins, dogs get the chicken.

Yep, that's what my ex's mama would make. Man, could that woman cook!

I can make it from her recipe, but doesn't taste as good. I'll stick with chicken and dumplings. At least that I'm good at.

My husband Rick can't make up his mind, so when we have chicken and dumplings I have to put both kinds in. It's really good, but the next day when we want to eat the leftovers, which always taste better, right?, there's no broth left because all that dough sucks it all up. Still good tho.

SAUSAGE BALLS!

I always make a batch of these close to Christmas. My DH has been out of town today and will be getting in late, so we're having these and eggs for supper... they're his favorite and he'll be in for a pleasant surprise.

Those sausage balls were so good, but did I ever pay for eating them with the worst and longest lasting heartburn EVER!

A dab of bakin soda would cure you right up. Tastes absolutely nasty, but a little suffering vs. a lot of suffering - well it's a cost/benefit analysis to me! lol
