    Water? My friend from Illinois brought this up on the phone.

    She says wah ter

    I say wortr

    Just curious! Also any other words you've noticed this with feel free to post, I can't say worm and warm, they both come out waorm (guess speech therapy in Kindergarten and 1st grade didn't work [​IMG] [​IMG]

    you needed to go to speech therapy through fourth then. thats what i did and now i can speak well enough that people can actually understand me!

    Now in 10th grade I'll be talking a a overly country accent slips out (not on purpose it's pretty annoying, I talk too much and I guess my brain gets tired of talking so it drops hints)

    I hear a lot of people who grow up in Eastern Washington tend to add in that extra "r". (i.e. they say 'Warshington')
