How do you sell your birds and still enforce Bio Security?

I'm no expert, but thanks, Sally. Everyone who comes has to spray their shoes with a mild bleach or ammonia solution. No one comes inside the coops themselves. I rarely have anyone come here except some folks I already know and they understand that they have to disinfect their shoes before they leave my driveway area. That isn't much but it's something. I don't advertise on Craigslist so complete strangers coming here is a rare occurrence.

Any bird I sell is on a one-way ticket. No returns.

Absolutely, 100% no exceptions. Even if it's someone I know, I won't allow any birds to come back, no matter what.​

I really really appreciate your advice everyone. I have been trying to decide if I was being silly and over protective. I am glad that my concerns are valid.

What great ideas about the bleach, ammonia, 1/4 acre and everything else. And I think I will not post on Craigslist anymore! Just too many things to worry about.
