How do you ship hatching eggs?

I am getting eggs shipped to me next monday and I called the post office to see if there were anything special I needed to do and she said to call the sender and tell them to wrap them in double layer of tin foil in case they are sent through the xray machine! She said sometimes they don't see that they are indeed hatching eggs and send them on through anyhow. SO you may want to wrap them to be safe so there are not deformed birds coming out of those shells

I say..better to be safe then sorry

Thanks a bunch. The pics really do help explain things.

I was thinking also instead of wrapping individual eggs you could wrap the eggcarton and probably use less foil.

Unless ofcourse youre just shipping 1 or 2 eggs.​

You can get several sizes so I sugguest to get the 8by11 flat rate and a smaller size. Get at least 25. Get yourself some of the 1000 roll priority mail stickers to use for tape to tape the wrap around the eggs. The P.O. has the perogative to give out Priority tape. Mine gives me a roll when I ask,
