How do you stay positive?

I agree with all of the above. What I have seen over the years on the Internet is the reader must read and believe the writer has written with a loving heart. If we all look for evil, that is all we will find, if we assume positive, eventually that is what we will get, because what you put out, is what you get back. No one plants corn and gets beans.

Having said all of that, I find individuals who have "always done it that way" are often not ready to look at new ideas. Kind of like how I get ticked with bad customer service, I grew up when customer service meant just that. They're not wrong, and I'm not wrong, times have just changed, and rather than taking offense, we all need to laugh/love/and get over ourselves. What part of posting on an Internet forum is changing the world? It is about learning, and sharing, teaching, helping, and fun-nothing more, nothing less.

I don't do anything.
If I try doing anything that'll let me know that what they've done is getting to me.
I just A.) Ignore it or B.) Remember whoever's saying filthy things to me is a virgin 37 year-old in his mother's basement starting fights with people because he stands no chance to do anything in real life like that.

It's so true! I have to even take it a step further, because I can actually say things in real life that I would not say on a forum. Because in person my tone can be very calm and gentle, and online it seems harsh. And I have a personal rule, that everyone's heard before, "if I can't say anything nice, don't say anything." Like "Oooh, I'm not going to get into this!" I see that sometimes (and of course, it's okay, this is my rule), but I won't do it. Because I didn't add anything to the conversation. If I have something to say, like "I see your point, but here's my point of view" then okay. If that makes any sense at all!

Anyway, the tone of BYC is so great that I still post here, even though I can't have chickens right now. I love them, and want them, but don't have any. But I'm still here bothering you all! BYC is the most adult forum I've come across.

Thank you for the post, the only thing I like to add, that the only person who I really don't respect is the ignorant, and the one who thinks that he/she Mr/mrs perfect or know it all.

I really don't post or answer to any post unless I feel comfy, and if I dout my self then I just shut up

I stay postive by watching my kids. Eventhough we dont have alot they still have a ton of fun . My oldest DD told me se is sad that we have to move again this year, but there are good things too. She is no longer the only army kid and no more school clothes. Oh and she made me so happy, she just came in the miute after midnight and wished me a "Happy third day of spring"

I find I use the delete and backspace button often...a split second after I think "Is it important enough for me to state an opinion?" "Is it worth it?" "Can you change the situation at hand?"

I try to stay positive but am human and sometimes fail.
