How do you store your poultry feed?

Very highly recommend it. They eat less, consume less water, have less stinky poop, are healthier, better feathers, better eggs, among many other things. Only downside is that it takes a bit of time.
Do you do it will layer pellets or just grains?

What about cats? We have 3 indoor only cats and they occasionally find, disembowel and barf up mice. My emotional vegetarian daughter does not approve of the killing let alone the mouse guts and blood. She also hates spiders. I figure the cats are just doing their job

though, I too, am not fond of the barfed up blood and guts.

Also, what is the range? I don't think we have any bats but if we do, I'd like them to stay around.

We had cats in and around the barn and a pet cat in the house. Never seen a problem with the machine and cats!

ahh, I see everyone storing huge amounts of food for their flock. I just keep my poultry feed in a medium size cereal keeper container.

I tried two of those plastic garden benches..... Squirrels ate up through the bottom and drained out all the feed then filled the benches with dirt.....

I try to handle food efficiently. I use Galvanized Trash cans, and I don't dump feed into the can I put the whole bag in. I buy 25 lb bags of feed.... Yes I pay more but one bag fills one feeder and I don't have to deal with an open bag in a bin. Right now I have three separate enclosures for breeds. Each feeder gets 25 lbs about every week and a half. This way I don't top off bins that still have feed in the bottom Sure way for feed to go bad or get buggy.

Right Now I am waiting for a small barn to be constructed when its done I will have a designated 8 by 24 foot feed storage area. Once done I want to construct a storage area just for bagged feed. This will have 1/2 inch hardware cloth lining it on all six sides for rodent exclusion. Then inside the floor will be either a hardwood or synthetic floor. Or maybe stall-mats. Then when I stock the feed it will just lay the sacks on shelves. That way I can do a visual inventory every time I go into the feed room without having to open containers to see if I need to buy anything. Oh there will be Galvanized bins but they will be for DE and Oyster shell, stuff that doesn't get buggy or go bad or expire.
