How do you tame an adult Muscovy?

Here is my muscovy duck named Big Bird. I rescued her from a live poultry butcher shop. He or she was living in a crowded cage with other poultry birds. I have tamed him or her to sit on my lap or on my computer table.

Big Bird is not Muscovy looks like Pekin to me. Sure is pretty. Love that diaper.

You are all correct and I just typed Pekin in google to double check. Looks like the butcher shop didn’t bother to label their poultry correctly.

Unless theres a curly feather on tail (which is sure sign of a drake) voice sexing is the easiest way to identify he or she. If its a loud quack with alot to say, its a she. If its a quiet croaky sound, its a he. Plenty of youtube videos on the noises too. . Beautiful duck, I love my pekins.
