Thank you for your helpI am hardly qualified compared to most here on this forum and heck im begging for help sexing my own chicks in another thread.... but those look like you have girls there to me
The one in the top picture does have some red going in his comb though
Top picture they are approximately 6 to 8 weeks old1st picture, the one to the right maybe a cockerel...Alot of red in the comb. The last picture, the one with it's head down, possible cockerel also.
What are their ages?
Thank you I agree but the other one am not sure so I will have to wait and see. Iam also a rookieI know people will disagree with what im typing amd IM SURE its breed specific meaning each breed is different.
But i just learned this.

I have 11 buff orphington chicks. 2 of them have no tail (as shown in picture 1) and those are the ones who's combs are slowly turning red. Also notice his FAT legs.
Now look at picture #2 ... All 9 of the rest of the birds look just like this. Skinner legs... And a pretty shapely longer tail. Call it a coincidence that both boys have no tail and fat legs and all 9 girls have skinny legs and a shapely more devoloped tail. And no red in their combs yet.
Now im positive all breeds are different so looking for this on your birds may not work.
For what its worth i saw your 1st picture and the bird on the left has a shapely tail and i see no large red comb so i guessed... Just a rookie guess its a girl
This is a nice area, my family has been here since the 70's and my grandson is the one that got interested in raising chickens. Good luck to you and your flockI see your north of Tampa, my dads in hudson and my brother is in dunedin and sister new port richey.
