How do you tell what kind of comb it is?

All I can find is drawings which really aren't visual enough for me. Does anybody have some images of combs on chicks that are just a few weeks old. I am especially interested in the difference between Pea, single and rose. But since I am flying in the dark here trying to ID my 38 chicks, any examples that show well in a picture would help. Thanks in advance.

Basically, the most common comb types are- Single, and pea comb.. Straight combs will be fairly tall right out of the shell and should be about the back of their eyes in length. A pea comb will be around the front of their eye.. And flatish until around 4-5 months probably. Rosecombs will be the same as a pea comb, but wider and will have a different texture to the comb.

Thanks. That is helpful. You don't by chance have any pics to illustrate the differences in texture do you. I think I have one with a rose comb. I will also try to nab him again tomorrow and get a pic to see what people think.

Sleeping chicks is a welcome sound right now. I am in town, and they are still in my backroom.... Happy to have a little quiet after a fun filled day of nothing but 3 wk old chicky fun.
