How do you trim hen's toenails? And cut spurs on rooster?

I use the Dremel tool with a cut off wheel on spurs as well. It'll cut through the secondary spur and cauterizes blood. No problem.
Wrap the rooster snuggly in a towel, head covered, tie his legs together with clothesline so he cant kick, or have someone hold him for you. Then start cutting.
I use dog nail clippers for toenails as well. Dont trim too close to the 'quick' or they'll bleed practically forever.

Oh? Ok. I've never heard of that before. I've only heard of flour. What is blood stop powder? Is it something you can make, or something you can buy? I'd like to know more information, if you don't mind.

Yunnan Baijao or Bleedstop. YB is way cheaper. We have both because I bought the Bleedstop before I knew about YB. But, also, YB keeps it from getting infected and promotes healing. People and other animals, critters, etc. can use it, too. Even bleeding ulcers or internal injuries! Just take it orally or put it in food. It really is amazing!
