Great! That's similar to what I have.

Last time I said this to someone, they replied that they had been reading, as they said, the "wrong literature," and thought they had plenty of space. The person then said they needed to sell about 1/3 of their flock.

I know the 4 sq ft/10 sq ft minimum is an often repeated refrain here, but somewhere out there, there is evidently some information that much less is adequate. This is not the first time I have run into this. So I hope you did not find this too irritating. It's just that there must be plenty of folks out there who still have not run across this info.

Mites - best thing to use is Yellow Jacket brand sulfur. I sell it @ $ 30.00 / 50 lb bag. You make a box and pour it in and let them dust themselves. It WILL totally eliminate them for a long period of time. It can also be made into a spray and applied to the premise a couple of times a year.

Pecking each other - Many times they are bored. Put in a bale of hay or straw in the pen for them to pick at.

Cocci - best treatment is AMPROL in the drinking water
