wire a computer fan to a cell phone charger? I've been reading some old posts, but either it isn't posted or I'm not seeing it.

Can anyone help? Please? This is for an lg still air with turner. Thanks!

you just cut the end off and slip the wires and strip down to bare wire and twist one wire from the fan to one from the charger and then the next wire on the fan to the remaining wire on the charger. but connector it or electrical tape(connectors are safer) and voila... OH I would recommend wiring it up AFTER you have run the wire through the hols in the incubator. HAHA... i just had to unwire and then rewire the one I just installed this morning. I drill holes and used zip ties to fasten mine to the inc. Mine is happily humming away next to me right now. Up to temp and holding temp like a champ. The test eggs I am using are about 10 day sold so might not do to well though a few are from todays layers... I have turkey duck and chicken going in today. By the time the chicken eggs are ready to hatch my other incubators will be empty(If I behave myself) and I will switch the chicken eggs to another to hatch and leave the turkey and duck until they are ready...

Serena, you rock!! Thank you so much for the info, hubby just came home and saved me from botching the whole thing!! lol He wasn't due to arrive home so soon, and I am not known for patience and wanted to just do it now.

Hey, try and behave yourself!! lol I'm the last person to be talking about that though, this is the second incubator I've bought in as many weeks! hahahaha Sending good hatching vibes your way!!

I bet you could have done it and it would have turned out just as well as what he did :)
I did mine myself. The hubby kept putting it off off offf..... until I couldnt stand it anymore.
My last hatch sucked and I am hoping the fan helps the next one.
Ha I am bad.. I pulled out last years incubator.... had a hatch in it and tons of eggs and my turkey started laying... I bought another styro with turner... discovered I loved having a turner so bought a turner for the orginal incubator... then had a friend GIVE me a cabinet incubator that he didnt know if it worked (auto turner, hatcher etc.). Worked, discovered a few kinks(element came loose and humidity hard to keep up) but its huming away capacity.... 180...
I have 8 chicks in a tub hatched easter sunday, 13 chicks hatched last weekend, 1 duck hatched last weekend, 4 duck & 5 turkey eggs currently on lockdown due tommorow. Hatches due 4/27, 5/1, 5.4, 5/8, 5/15 and a batch ready to go in the incubator of turkey duck and chicken...... *evil grin*
BUT... I do have a buyer for all the chicks I have in the brooder, I am just waiting on more ducklings to keep the single duckling company....
