How do your EEs lay?

I love my little EE (easter egger), but she's not my best layer. She was, however, my first layer at 21 weeks. She lays 2 days, then takes one day off...that pattern, so 5 eggs a week usually.

I have 2 EEs (Americaunas), one lays every day, one lays 5 days a week. They're bigger than average eggs and are a beautiful green color.
We live in Utah with horrible winters (it's still snowing here) so no eggs all winter long from anyone but the EE was the first to start laying once the sun started to stick around longer each day.
And I love their poofy cheeks!

Since EEs are crossbred, you really shouldn't "expect" anything.

My girl lays once every ooh week sometimes, and other times she'll be on a role and lay once a day for a decent timing. She's weird.

But really, each one from each strain at each hatchery can vary.

I have 20 EE's from MPC (Meyer) and they started laying at around 23 weeks. My girls are very dependable. I have at least a dozen a day. I get blue, green, brown, and pink eggs!

I have two EEs that I got from My Pet Chicken. They both started laying at 21 weeks, and each have been laying 6 or 7 eggs a week. Both lay nice green eggs, one lays a large egg and the other lays a medium egg.

I have 2 Easter Eggers. One gives me an egg a day without fail, the other gives me about 5 a week. Big eggs too I love them

I have three or did... gave Cheeks to my grandson, she the most consistent layer (5=6 but stopped through winter) Then Olivia. lays small olive green eggs (4-5 Weekly) Lastly Lucy, she has some "little girl problems" and lays erratic and sometimes an egg within an egg. I watch her very closely. I love them all with all their different personalities and natures.

My EE was a rescue so I have no idea how old she is. We've had her almost a year. She lays like you described. Some weeks we get one green egg. This week I think we got 3 eggs from her. She hardly laid any eggs for most of the winter.

I have 10 EE's and would be happy to have more. The blue and green eggs are the favorites of everyone who gets my eggs, and I love them the best because they are SO beautiful. The hens are lovely also, so varied in color, really pretty, really cold hardy, and good foragers. My girls are good, reliable layers of 4-5 eggs per week each, of good size.

My Store bought gals laid quite well but may offspring from them and outer crosses laid better. I guess it depends on your patience to continue with is or just by more. The vigor in my males are great and hatch ability very good. So my hens are 5-7 eggs a day with that day of non laying. But I spoil them with a lot of treats and my feed store says i spoil them. I just like my gals content and food is the way to their hearts..I mean eggs....
