How does it work?

I am thinking about incubating some chicken eggs to begin my small flock (under 10) What is the process to incubate eggs? When you get your eggs from the mail, is there a 'rest" period, or do the eggs go right into the bator? How long do they stay in? and lastly when they hatch, do you take them out right away or do they stay in the bator for a day or two after they hatch?
Hatching eggs sounds really fun and nerve racking!

This forum is to help people when they have questions!

I let my eggs set for at least 8 hours before incubating. They stay in 21 days give or take a couple of days. On day 19 you need to stop turning and raise the humidity by adding water to all the wells in the incubator. You can leave the chicks in the incubator for 24 hours if you want. I leave mine in for about 6 hours because I have alot of chicks hatching at the same time and I need to keep them moving. Remember to set the eggs with the pointy end down!

... all im saying is that check the forums first then post what you dont understand !! but asking for the whole process seams for a lil to much i my seem like i havent been on this forum but i am a member of other forums and im a mod on one so i do what i am talking about that's why its so hard for me when i came to this one just to find things out is hard so if i seamed a lil to harsh im SORRY!!
