Tracy, I didn't know you had buffs. He looks like he could happily take care of a large group of layers! BTW I have 3 beautiful black orp chicks from you. Hatched out this week. One jumped over into my split lav basket so she will be raised with them. But the other two will grow out and go in a pen of blacks with blacks from Taterschickens and BamaChicken!

What all do you raise?

Thanks guys, I'm loving his personality already. He's truely a gentle giant. I had a ball hanging out in the pen with him today snapping photos.

Majestic, I have Delawares, Black Orps, two buckeye hens, one buff orp hen and the beautiful rooster here. This guy is in with the buckeyes and a couple delaware hens I don't use for breeding. The buff orp hen is sitting on some of Ann's turkey eggs right now.

Congrats on the black babies. They're sooo cute. How are you going to figure out which one he is?

There is no way to tell now, lol. She will live in the split lav pen. What else can I do. I hatched 2 lavs and 3 splits and your early bird jumper. I need another head buff roo so I can put my best guard roo over in the main laying pen. I also have a 2 month old cockerel from Jody's Rocky and one from her General. Here's hoping...
