How does your egg turner work?

Hi!

I just bought an egg turner used off Craigslist. Plugged it in, and yep, it's moving the eggs, slowly.

Question: It turns the eggs to the right (or left, if you're looking at it upside down, LOL!) and then upright again. Then right, then upright again.

Is it supposed to work that way? Or is it supposed to swing a full, ummm, guess it would be 180 degrees (half circle) right, up, left, up, right. left, etc?

I checked the instructions online (didn't come with original set) and all it said was the eggs would move slowly. Nothing about HOW FAR they are supposed to move, LOL!

Can you help? Tell me if this is how yours works!

Thanks!

It goes to the right, almost laying flat. It then goes to the left, almost laying flat. Hope you understood that.

Thanks, Pineknot!

I think I found the problem - my glove I use for handling eggs was sitting under the incubator on one side.

After you posted, I started messing around with the unit, adjusting the turner inside to make sure it was flat and nothing was "hung up" inside. Then I noticed the whole unit wasn't laying flat! Whoops!!!

Thanks so much for your post - at least I knew that I needed to look for something, this being my first time using the turner, I was thinking maybe that was just how it worked!

Going to check on it in an hour or so, see if the eggs start leaning the OTHER way, now!
